As you know by now, the house we just sold has been a HUGE undertaking. One of many projects was giving ourselves a full play room and powder room makeover. There was a garage that had been converted into “living space” (it was completely disgusting I might add). Here are some before shots…

I liked the idea of a bonus room, but there was obviously a lot that needed to be done to make this what we wanted it to be. We took it a bit farther than just “finishing” the room and elevated the floor to be in line with the rest of the house. We removed, what used to be, a loft above, and we turned it into a huge room with a vaulted ceiling. It was a complete transformation! Check out the progress.

I had visions of making it a combination of a mud-room/office/play room. It came out exactly how I imagined it!
The Finished Product!

I also want to show you the powder room we put in! Look how cute!!! I’ve linked to everything I used below the picture…

Since the powder room makeover was in a pretty small space, I took some risks and went a bit trendier than our other bathrooms. So, we opted for a pallet shiplap wall on the back for a few reasons: the wallpaper was a nightmare to install (next time I’ll pay someone) and too expensive to make any more mistakes, pallet wood is free, and the bathroom is pretty tiny, so I was worried people would be overwhelmed by the flowers.
This room was so fun to create. Our house was on the smaller side, so having a place where the kids could go that was out of our direct path was a big goal for me! And, I’d say we definitely accomplished that! I absolutely adore how this area came out! It’s one of our favorite places to spend the days!
