Finished up the porch floor at The Farmhouse Reno. As would be expected on a historic home, we discovered lots of termite damage and wood rot. Had to replace about 60% of the floor joists. Also uncovered some non PT wood that we removed that would have been a NIGHTMARE and a feeding ground for termites if left there! But they’re good as new now!

A little backstory on this house… It’s 200 years old and just sold last year. I had my eye on it for years! But it was above my budget and needed WAY too much work. BUT the new homeowners called me to come in and finish up some projects for them! It’s one of my favorite houses in Summerville, and I’m so excited to be a tiny part of the transformation!

✨2024 in pictures✨ what a year! It was truly one of the hardest and most beautiful at the same time. Is that even possible?? I healed, I grew, I learned, I loved, I WAS loved. What more could I ask for?

I have big dreams and goals for 2025, as always. But the word I landed on for the year is “contentment”. How to BE and still feel joy and satisfaction in the mundane of life. I’m walking into this coming year with open hands, ready for what God has for me. Happy New Year, friends!! Praying it’s a great one 🥂

What a difference a year makes! Just over a year ago I bought my little bungalow. The timing and connection with the people selling, was no doubt a gift from God. I bought it off market and ended up moving in while the kitchen was totally gutted and down to the studs.

The sellers were planning to travel for a month or so and then finish renovating it and put it on the market. I asked them if they’d be willing to let me live there while I finished their renovation for them and then I would buy it as soon as my other house sold. And they actually said yes to my crazy idea! I lived there while I finished renovating it and put the kitchen back together!

I truly believe home is where the heart is. And I’ve spent the last year turning this house into our home. It’s cozy, it’s charming, and it’s mine!

WHAT A YEAR! It’s been a year of new beginnings.

WHAT A YEAR! It’s been a year of new beginnings. A year of rebuilding. A year that was hard, yet one of the most accomplished years I’ve ever experienced. I’ve learned how to trust God in a way I’ve never had to and learned that I am capable of more because of the gifts and tools he’s given me. He’s blessed me beyond measure. I’ll never stop being grateful for the grace & mercy he shows me every single day.

I rebranded my company, that I had started in 2018, this past February. I took the leap of faith that I could do it on my own, support my kids, and build a life that I love and am proud of. This year has been all of the above and then some!! Nothing short of incredible blessings. Not to discount the hard, but to amplify the good. There have been tons of hard things. But the underlying focus has been positivity, trust, and growth. And that’s exactly what I continue to set my mind to!

To the people who poured into me, supported me, loved me, and trusted me to renovate their homes, THANK YOU. Thank you for letting me rebuild your homes while I rebuilt my life alongside you! It’s only the beginning! Here’s to another year full of showing up authentically and growing together 🥂

One of my favorite things to do is bake!! The kids

One of my favorite things to do is bake!! The kids will be out of school for 2 weeks and I always like to come up with festive things for them to do. One of our go-to activities is cookie baking! I prep ingredients (take butter & eggs out, put all ingredients in one spot, take out measuring cups), then I write out the recipe for each kid on a post it so they can follow along. The kids love it!! Great way to get everyone together and have friends join in on the fun 🎄 what are some of your favorite things to do with the kids?

Coming off of Thanksgiving, I feel extra grateful for the relationships with friends, clients, and family that I’ve built, especially over this last year! Each reno has a special story and a special place in my heart.

This client moved here from TX and got my name from someone in a local Facebook group. There’s not a surface in this home we didn’t touch. It went from a mount pleasant home, just like the rest, to a show stopper! The finishes, colors, and vision that we worked through was so fun! I loved helping them bring their vision to life!

It’s not too late!!! You MUST try this stuffing recipe for Thanksgiving 🦃. It’s super simple, but it is an absolute fan favorite. Everyone in my family demands it each year. It is a recipe by @giadadelaurentiis called Raffy’s Turkey Sausage and Chestnut Stuffing. I promise your family and friends will love it! I doubled the recipe because I’m making it for two meals.
